I have been working art since childhood, illustration has been the driving force for my visual creation. However, I am not a good illustrator. To be impressed by Berrnie Wrightson, George Perez, Michael Kaluta, Gil Kane, Jose Gonzalez and a list of Creepy, Eerie and Comic artists has created a path that leads me from their 2-d world to render it in 3-d.
As a child, I had all the great experiences possible with Vincent Price shrunken heads, models, home made puppets, Hugo man of a 1000 faces, halloween kits and the likes of creativity. Somehow, we never really shake those experiences, do we.
Sculpting always has been an on/off hobby of mine, from 25mm scale miltary builds to half scale work that I rended now. I use Aves two part and sculpty for most of my work and have used some full wax as of recently.
The likeness to any works is in Homage and the Creepy cover issue 39 is for my personal collection and not for sale or reproduction. I have started another cover for that series and the progress will be posted when finished. Hats off to Basil Gogos, all due respect.
